How Hardness Adjustment Works
Thanks to integrated by-pass, you can precisely adjust the hardness of the output water. By rotating the two by-pass levers, you mix the raw water with the water softened by the appliance.
Recommended output hardness: 15°F (the most frequent setting is no lower than 5°F)
How to adjust:
- Operate the levers little by little (closing the lever on exit)
- Test the water with the hardness kit (code 13000001)
- Repeat until you reach the desired value
Factory programming:
- Inlet hardness: 40°F
- Output hardness: 0°F
- Safety regeneration: every 7 days

Water softeners produce softened water through the ion exchange in resins, which introduces sodium ions into the treated water.
Recommended sodium limit for drinking water: 200 ppm/litre
Important: Most of the sodium consumed comes from foods (especially industrial ones), not from water. Sodium intake from the water we drink is relatively low compared to food intake.
